Frequently Asked Questions
What coins can't be rolled?
Unfortunately, we are unable to roll the 2012 or 2018 Red Poppy $2 coins due to the design of the coins and issues with the brittleness of the enamel. This causes damage to the coins during the rolling process. For this reason, we are no longer rolling these particular coins.
How long does it take?
The estimated processing time is 10 business days. Please allow additional transit time if you choose to have your order posted.
What coins incur a premium rolling charge?
There are some coins which we have to manually hand feed to the rolling machine to ensure minimal damage to the paint during the rolling process. Therefore, there is a premium of $35 per roll to roll this type of coin. The below coins will incur this premium rolling charge:
– 2021 $2 Aboriginal Flag
– 2021 $1 Baucks’ Ginger Meggs (Both versions)
– 2021 $1 Centenary Of Rotary
– 2022 $2 Ambulance – C Mint Mark
– 2021 $1 150th Anniversary of the RSPCA Coins (Dolphin, Dog, Cat, Lizard, Wombat, Hen, Horse, Guinea Pig & Farm Animals)
– 2022 $2 Socceroos Centenary
– 2022 $2 75th Anniversary of Peacekeeping – C Mint
– 2024 $2 War Animals
– 2024 $2 War Animals C mint
– 2025 $2 Aus Open Womens Privvy
– 2025 $2 Aus Open Mens PrivvyAre you rolling the 2021 $2 Ambulance coin?
Yes, however please be aware the paint in the centre of the 2021 $2 Ambulance coin is prone to chipping. Due to the number of requests, Imperial Coins will still be rolling this coin and take no responsibility for any additional paint chipping during the rolling process.
Are you rolling $1 Donation coins?
Yes, however prior to the rolls being provided, the customer must donate the rolling fees to a charity of their choice and present the receipt to Imperial Coins.
For example, if you would like 3 donation dollar rolls, you would need to pay the $45 rolling fee to a charity of your choice instead of paying the rolling fee to Imperial Coins.
Can you roll tails/tails or heads/heads?
Unfortunately, we are unable to do this. All our rolls will be rolled tails/head.
Can you provide a coin replacement if needed?
We offer coin rolling for all Australian uncirculated coins. If your coins are not uncirculated, or rolls and bags contain unmatched coins, Imperial Coins are able to provide replacement coins at current market rates or return your coins to you at a shipping charge of $10AUD plus $2AUD per roll equivalent.
What is the best way to submit my coins?
To avoid any additional fees for removing your coins from any cards or other packaging, we request that you please remove the coins and place them into tubes or bags.
This will minimise movement and likelihood of damage during transit. Coin tubes are also a great way to store your completed rolls.
