The interdependence of the fish is represented by the seed of its rival in the form of a black
freshwater pearl on the head of the polished koi, and a white freshwater pearl on the head of the black koi. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 5oz of 99.99% pure silver and issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
