2019 Tuvalu $2 The Simpsons Family Coloured 2oz Silver Proof Coin

In 2018, The Simpsons reached an incredible milestone becoming the longest-running prime time scripted show in television history. The Perth Mint released this 2oz silver coin in 2019 to celebrate the event.

 
With a mintage of just 2,000 coins, this coin is struck from 2oz of 99.9% pure silver and features the entire Simpsons family in colour.
Each coin is presented in a clear acrylic case, allowing both sides of the coin to be displayed, and is packaged within a themed shipper. The coin is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Obverse: Depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, the weight and fineness, and the 2019 year-date.
Reverse: Portrays a colored image of the Simpsons with their pet greyhound, Santa’s Little Helper, and their pet Cat, Snowball II. Included in the design is the family home at 742 Evergreen Terrace, Matt Groening’s signature, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
